Our prototype is beginning to take shape. The prototype is mounted on an aluminum frame with hood. The hood serves two purposes: as laser eye protection and as a Faraday cage. The magnet is on top. All electronics are hosted in four selves below the magnet; mounted on castors for easy movement. The laser is mounted horizontally in a fixed position. The sensors are fixed in position by means of 3D printed placeholders. 3D printing has been used as well to build other system components: such: as the mirror mount, the oven and the antenna.
We are in process of integrating the RS2 Cameleon data acquisition board with the rest of components of the prototype. Finally, we have developed several SW suites with the aim to control the HW, capture the data and produce the images.
In the picture below it is displayed a side view of the magnet with one of the sensors.
